KEVIN SCOTT GREER is an American born actor emerging from the Chicagoland area. His film credits include many minor and featured roles in numerous well-known films such as "The Break Up," with Vince Vaughn; "Stir of Echoes," with Kevin Bacon; "Never Been Kissed," with Drew Barrymore; "The Company," with James Franco; and numerous independent projects.
Greer's acting aspirations began largely by chance when he was plucked off the street and thrown into a scene with Anthony Edwards as an extra in the popular series drama "ER" in the fall of 1996. Soon after, he'd caught the acting bug and started taking acting classes in college, Act One Studios, and The Audition Studio in Chicago all the while still a pre-med student mingling in the theater wing of the University of Illinois-Chicago.
His other credits include a handful of television appearances on "Cupid," with Jeremy Piven, who gave Kevin his first line playing a Kappa Alpha frat boy; "Early Edition," with Kyle Chandler; "Turks," with David Cubitt, in which he was featured several times as a co-worker to Paul Turk; "It's a Miracle," which he played a leading role as a hero in a re-enactment scene; and he was part of the Sammy Sosa McDonald's commercial during the exciting and heated McGwire/Sosa homerun chase.
Suprisingly, while yet to aquire a breakthrough role, Kevin was considered countless times for leading roles in several feature film projects and television shows, including "Dawson's Creek" and "One Tree Hill," all without the much advantateous Hollywood agent. Flash ahead 2007, Kevin has relocated to beautiful Southern California. Remaining vigilant and steadfast in his training and aspirations he's taken a step back to ultimately take a leap forward while acclimating himself in his new home. Most recently, Kevin was invited to read for a doomed CBS television pilot, Skip Tracer, and was thrilled to be a guest and walk the red carpet at the 2007 Emmy Adwards. In addition, Kevin is actively exploring projects to build-up his reel; seeking a quality agency representative; and taking heed of any major tv/film work that comes his way before ultimately joining the Screen Actor's Guild.
In addition to his work in front of the camera, Greer works as a personal trainer in Beverly Hills and can also be found following the stereotype of a fledgling actor in the service industry as a waiter/bartender. He's also rumored to be working both behind the scenes and starring in a SAG short to be shot in and around the Los Angeles landscape.
Greer's family descends from a long line of Greers who date back to ancient Scotland and Ireland. He is also the distant cousin of famed Film Noir actress/model Jane Greer. In his free time he enjoys working out; cooking; playing baseball; watching the Cubs; and he loves to travel.
